Accessibility Statement

The standard

This site was built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.

What that means here

• Body text is set at 18 pixels rather than the usual 16, with generous line spacing, because many of the people reading this site are making a major decision and should not have to squint at it.
• Text and background colors meet or exceed the required contrast ratios.
• Every part of the site can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone, and the focus indicator is always visible.
• Every form field has a real label, not just placeholder text.
• Every image has descriptive alternative text.
• Headings follow a logical order so screen readers can navigate the page structure.
• A skip-to-content link appears as the first item on every page.
• Animation is minimal, and it turns off entirely if your device is set to reduce motion.
• The site works at any window size, from a phone to a large monitor, and text can be enlarged to 200 percent without breaking the layout.
